The Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies continues its educational breakfast seminars entitled “The Friday Space Group: The Value of Space to the Warfighter” on Capitol Hill with a discussion focusing on the topic of position, navigation, and timing (PNT).

Maj Gen Robert D. McMurry Jr., Director, Space Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, will introduce our three feature speakers:

Colonel Harold W. “Stormy” Martin, Deputy Director, National Coordination Office for Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing, Washington, D.C, will provide an overview of GPS, the Economic, Civil and International contributions to PNT;

Colonel William Cooley, Director of the Space and Missile Systems Center’s Global Positioning Systems Program Office, will discuss current and projected GPS programs;

Major Joseph Thomas, US Army, PNT Requirements for USAF A3/5, and will review the importance of GPS to the warfighter.

The George C. Marshall Institute is sponsoring the series by providing video recording services.

US Seeks GPS Alternative November 1, 2013
